American Express – A tale of two businesses

American Express Global Corporate Payments (AMEX GCP) recognised the need to improve its online visibility and solidify its position as a market leader in B2B payments. To achieve this, a strategic initiative was launched to enhance the appeal of their videos and address low engagement rates.

Five exceptional videos were brought to life under my guidance, as I played a key role in their creation and management. This involved everything from brainstorming and storyboarding to selecting talent, coordinating wardrobe choices, designing sets, and meticulously crafting the sound and visual aspects.

With these videos we show business people “twins”. One of the twins is using and benefiting from an American Express Corporate Card – and the other isn’t, highlighting the card’s significant impact on business success. The messages resonated well with the existing GCP audience and small business owners.

The videos were successfully promoted on AMEX’s Business website, via email, and on their YouTube channel, which boasts 2.46K subscribers. Customer engagement increased significantly, leading to a request for the production of two additional videos. To date, the videos have amassed a total of 1,107,600 views and continue to gain popularity.
